Elite Students Participate in the West Vancouver Cultural Festival

This summer, several Elite Vancouver students participated in the West Vancouver Cultural Fest, a vibrant community event hosted by the District of West Vancouver that celebrates cultural diversity and brings people together through shared experiences.

Throughout the festival, visitors enjoyed traditional music and dance performances from around the world, cultural exhibits, art displays by local artists, hands-on activities such as traditional crafts and calligraphy, interactive games for children and families, and a variety of international food vendors. Community organizations and cultural groups also shared information about their programs and traditions, creating an engaging and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

Our students enjoyed being part of this exciting celebration and had the opportunity to experience the many cultures that make our community so diverse and vibrant. We are always happy to see our students participating in local community events and creating meaningful memories beyond the classroom.

Elite Vancouver Students Volunteer at the Harmony Arts Festival

This summer, students from Elite Vancouver proudly volunteered at the Harmony Arts Festival, one of West Vancouver’s largest annual celebrations of arts and culture.

The festival brings together artists, performers, local businesses, and thousands of visitors for a vibrant week of visual arts, live performances, family activities, and community engagement along the waterfront.

As community volunteers, our students supported the festival in a variety of important roles. They assisted vendors at the Art Market, welcomed visitors at the Information Booth, helped facilitate activities in the Kids Zone, supported visual art exhibitions as Gallery and Group Exhibition Ambassadors, assisted with the Artspeaks speaker series, and helped maintain public lounge areas to ensure a comfortable experience for festival guests. Through these responsibilities, students contributed to the smooth operation of the festival while interacting with artists, organizers, and visitors from diverse backgrounds.

Volunteering at the Harmony Arts Festival provided our students with valuable opportunities to strengthen their communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills. More importantly, they experienced the satisfaction of giving back to the community and learned the importance of civic engagement.

At Elite Vancouver, we believe that education extends beyond academic achievement. Community involvement helps students develop confidence, responsibility, and compassion while preparing them to become thoughtful and engaged global citizens.

We are incredibly proud of all of our student volunteers for representing Elite Vancouver with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to serving the community. Their dedication made a meaningful contribution to this year’s Harmony Arts Festival and reflects the values we strive to cultivate every day.
